Arcland Property Company

Arcland was founded by Noah Mehrkam in 2006 with seed capital from an Alabama businessman who has an affinity for launching entrepreneurs. Armed with a graduate degree in real estate development from Johns Hopkins University, experience negotiating over 100 land acquisitions and dispositions, and fresh off an apprenticeship with a Northern Virginia developer, Mehrkam focused Arcland on $5-15 million commercial developments in the outer Washington, DC suburbs. In 2008 Arcland completed it’s first ground-up development consisting of a self storage business and retail building. Around the same time the recession dictated that Arcland convert a speculative office development to a fee-based project for a growing publicly-traded company. As the dust from the recession settled, Arcland transitioned its focus from advisory services and carved out a niche as a self storage developer in greater Washington, DC.
