Description

AHC Inc. is renovating Arbor Heights, a 198 unit residential apartment complex in Arlington, VA to add 133 two bedroom family sized units, a new playground for tenants, as well as new fixtures, kitchens, and finishes. In addition, AHC will upgrade the units to increase energy efficiency and reduce energy consumption.

When the project is completed 158 units will be designated for affordable housing for household earning up to 60 percent of the area median income (AMI), and 40 units will be reserved for households earning up to 50 percent AMI.

According to AHC, Arlington County is providing a $13.26 million Affordable Housing Investment Fund (AHIF) loan to aid with Arbor Heights, and the development team received low-income tax credits, IDA bonds, and $1 million from AHC to finance the project.
