Based on the documents submitted to the county, the site is particularly attractive due to the proximity to local amenities in the community such as, access to doctors, shopping, and churches. A typical Brightview resident is over 80 years old, has lived in the community for a long-time, and raised their family locally. Residents at the Brightview facility in Annapolis will receive housekeeping, linen service, transportation via a 15 passenger shuttle bus, monitoring and supervision, outdoor seating areas, and recreational activities throughout the year. Brightview will have a nurse on staff to provide care.
The property was designed by Baltimore, MD based architectural firm Hord Coplan Macht. Cynthia Shonaiya from the architecture firm said stated that the subject property is designed to be "home-like." Chimneys are proposed in the design to reduce the roof mass, and the proposed materials are siding and masonry. Much of the building will be hiding due to the tree buffer. Scott Huot from Red Sketch Landscape Architecture served as the Landscape Architecture for the subject property.
