Brightview Bethesda will be an eight-story assisted living building located northwest of the intersection of Auburn Avenue and Rugby Avenue in the Woodmont Triangle area of Bethesda. The facility would be managed by Baltimore, Maryland based real estate development and management company The Shelter Group. The building will include 120 units and include over 3,000 square feet of ground level commercial space as well as an underground parking garage.

According to documents submitted to the county, the site is currently developed with two single‐story commercial buildings and surface parking, which will be removed to accommodate the development proposed by The Shelter Group.

The subject property will also provide ten bicycle parking spaces for long‐term private use and two bicycle parking spaces for short‐term public use. "The project proposes to provide 1,350 square feet of public open space.  The public open space will consist of sidewalk along the Rugby Avenue frontage of the subject property. The public open space will be improved with the Bethesda standard streetscape.  Recreational amenities will be provided within the building for residents."
