The $90 million development deal for The Conway Center closed on October 30, 2015 and leverages approximately $70 million in approved public funding, tax credits, tax exempt bonds and low-interest loans. SOME is raising the additional $20 million needed to complete the facility.
Description
The DC based non-profit organization, So Others Might Eat (SOME) has plans to construct a 202 multi-family apartment complex near the Benning Road metro station in Deanwood. 178 apartment units will be designated for homeless families and individuals. SOME will also utilize the complex to expand its Center for Employment Training, and construct a 36,000 sq ft medical and dental clinic.
