Baywood Hotels is planning to redevelop and convert the old Quality Inn Hotel on New York Avenue into a Homewood Suites Hotel. The proposal would replace the existing two-story motel with an eight-story building with a total of 220 - 240 rooms and roughly 115 parking spaces. The 90-foot tall building would have an approximate gross floor area of 163,600 square feet, equal to a floor area ratio (FAR) of 4.09. 

The project was designed to achieve LEED Silver certification.

Amenities & Features:
  • Fifty-one of the hotel rooms will be designed with special accommodations for deaf persons
  • Shuttle service between the hotel and the New York Avenue Metrorail Station for hotel guests and employees.
  • 18 bicycle racks
  • Dinning area
  • Rooftop terrace
  • Fitness facility
  • The hotel will provide FM hearing loops in all hotel meeting spaces as an accommodation to deaf persons.
