Description

Microsoft is all set to expand its' data centre in Boydton, Virginia. Boydton is a small town with less than 1000 people in population. The tech giant will spend $251.6 million on the project to accommodate the growing demand for cloud services.

Governor Terry McAuliffe approved a $500,000 grant from the Commonwealth’s Opportunity Fund to aid Mecklenburg County with the project, and the "Virginia Tobacco Region Revitalization Commission approved $970,000 in Tobacco Region Opportunity Funds for the project."
