Edit Back to listing

Description

The Joint Venture team, Clark/Smoot/Russell, has been commissioned to develop the seven level 323,000 sq ft National Museum of African American History and Culture construction project. This complex will feature an auditorium, cafe, offices, and an educational center. Two unique aspects of this project will be the three-tiered cooper structure which will form the top of the building, and the "porch" which will serve as the buildings main entrance on Madison Avenue. The architects working on this museum will design the site to meet LEED Gold certification.

The National Museum of African American History and Culture will be located next to the Washington Monument
