Description

The Shops & Lofts at 47 will produce 96 residential units and 55,000 SF of ground level retail space when completed. The developers of this project will revitalize an entire block between South Cottage Grove Avenue and 47th Street. The residential component will take place in four buildings; the five-story building will provide 72 mixed income units (one-to-three bedroom units), and the developer will renovated three low rise apartment buildings to provide 24 mixed income residential units. 44 units will be subsidized by LITHC and 28 units will have a tenant rental subsidy via the Chicago Housing Authority and LITHC.

Walmart will occupy 41,000 SF along the ground level of the mixed use complex; another 14,000 SF will be available for smaller retail tenants.
