Ekistics is the lead development firm for the renovation and new development project known as State Center Metro Station. The construction will produce a 28 acre mixed use and transit-oriented development site with 250,000 sq ft of ground level retail (which includes plans for a community grocery store and restaurants), 1,400 mixed income housing units (30 percent affordable), and 2,000,000 sq ft of commercial office space.
Phase One of this development has been approved. This phase involves the construction of: 515,000 sq ft of state-lease office space, 15,000 sq ft of speculative office space, 100 apartments, 928 space parking garage for state employees, and 65,000 sq ft of retail space.
