Description

The Phyllis Wheatley YWCA renovation project will produce 84 residential apartments, in addition to an enlarged reception area and lounge. Included in this development are offices and a break room for YWCA staff members. Housing options will be advertised to households generating 0-30% AMI. 

Outside of private financing, DCHA is providing $1.5 million in capital funding to support the $17 million project. HUD and the District Department of Housing and Community Development are contributing a $2.2 million loan and Low Income Housing Tax Credits, respectively.
