Description

The Wharf is a $1.2 billion project along the southwest waterfront of Washington, DC. Hoffman-Madison Waterfront is the master developer of the 3.2 million square foot site. The first phase which will commence during the first quarter of 2014 will be "1.5 million square feet of residential, 278 room InterContinental hotel, office, and retail uses along with four piers, numerous open spaces, gathering places and a 3-acre waterfront park." 

Plans also highlight space for 1,300 bicycles, and 2,500 parking spaces. This project is part of the District of Columbia's $10 billion Anacostia Waterfront Initiative.

Financing include $400 million construction loan, $220 from PSP Investments, and $200 in public financing.
